Dive Day 1

Lets get everyone caught up: Two days ago was mainly walking around town checking out the sites and got a painful 2 hour massage. It was cheap though only 30 bucks. 1 hour foot reflexology, 1 hour shiatsu. Both performed by very strong hands. OWCH but sooo good. lol
Yesterday consisted of Packing bags and hopping on a plane to the other side of the island. Welcome to Semporna! A little fishing village on the south/east side of Borneo. Stinky little place with children running bare foot everywhere. Everywhere you go children are waving and saying “HI” to you, probably because thats the only word they know. Hostels have rats running around in the ceiling and extra beds are mattresses on the floor. I’m ruffin it!! I can Alpine Camp! CAN UUU? ahaha if you don’t know what i’m talking about ur not in the loop.
Soooo now your all caught up.
Dive Day 1:
Today was the first dive day. Just Wicked Wooooo! It’s an hour boat ride to the dive site all along the ride you see houses on houses along the island coast, proped up on stilts. Little crappy canoe/fishing boats scattered throughout the ocean. It’s like for realz, like in the movies, but for realz! Get to the dive site with crystal clear waters and sandy beaches.
This is a whole new ball game let me tell you, the whole tropical diving that is. Your about 50% lighter due to all the gear you DON’T have to wear. The water is oh soooo warm, 28 Deg. compared to 8 Deg. and there is good visibility 30ft(which apparently is bad) compared to 15ft (which is perdy good for home). So doing my first dock entry, while walking off the dock my flipper gets caught on the ladder and I oh so gracefully bail into the water. Apparently thats one way of getting in. Throughout the 3 dives for the day I saw so much sea life. Schools of fish that look like a wall because of the shear number of them. You could get like 5ft close without them changing directions. Cuttlefish the size of your torso. Lion fish, Nemos, just Tropical galore really. Even got chased away by a fish the size of my palm  cuz I was to close to his crib.
All in all a great day of diving 1 down 4 to go. Tomorrow we switch over to a sweet looking place on the island for a couple days. So I doubt internet access in non-existent like hot water. So chow for now.
