Trip: Day 1

So one wonders how the first leg of this overly priced, 2 week adventure begins. Well it starts something like this:

An original 2:40am departure at the deserted YVR was delayed due to plane technical problem when leaving New York. Time of departure now, 4:00am. I pass out in a lounger chair watching Vernon’s hockey team beat out someone I have never heard of for the gold. WOOOO! I finally board the FULL plane sit down and wait… and wait … The lady sitting beside me is questioned if she is sitting in the right seat from a man who has the same seat number. THE DRAMA!! Where are the flight attendants to solve this mystery? Oh wait here she comes, why? Cuz the dude is still standing as the plane is backing up. All I hear is, “Sir your ticket is dated the 14th, today is the 15th.” WTF?? We are now taxing to the runway. The man leaves with the attendant….. The plane then stops. Here is the waiting game AGAIN.

“Sorry for the delay folks we have to go back to offload a passenger and refuel.” So apparently the guy flew in from New York on the same trip just a day late. Oh and the fun part. NO ONE CAUGHT IT untill he didn’t have a seat. The pilot chimes in overhead “I apologize for the extra delay, there has been a security breach and we are removing a passenger and his luggage. Attendants please employ security measures.” Super… Everyone now has to get thier carryon bags so they can see if there are any unknown bags left on board. After another 2 hour delay we finally leave the tarmack.Time: 6:00am.
I’m not going to complain though. Look on the bright side the plane is neat. The TV in front of me has a remote control and I can play bejeweled along with many other games.
After a 13 hour flight, dinner, cup-o-noodles, breaky, bejeweled, IP man, flash point(which is highly recommended for the UFC lovers), and lots of sleeping, I arrive in Hong Kong. 2 hours after my transfer flight to singapore has left. Oh the woes of Travel. They have another flight they can ditch us on and another 3.5 hours of travel.

The sigh of relief I had when I saw my bag come out on the belt. Now what to do for 4 hours while I wait for my next flight?  I hear that Singapore airport has soo many cool things to do lets go find out shall we. Oh well apparently they are all past check in point. Thats cool I’ll just check in. Though when talking to the lady at the information booth “What airline?”

“Tiger air, what kind of things are there to do at the airport?”

Her face cringes “Oh where you are taking your flight nothing. You are not in the main 3 terminals.”

Great cuz I chose the ghetto ass plane I don’t even fly outta the main terminal.

“How do I get to where I need to fly out of?”

“Go to terminal 2, Take the elevator to the basement, then there is a shuttle that will take u there.”

I’m so ghetto i’m not even in the basement of a terminal. It’s called “the budget terminal” HA. Oh wells time to go get my eat on, food booths everywhere.
