Killer Cambodia

Doing some mass traveling through Lao required some mass relaxing. Thanks to the four thousand Islands, that was fully achieved. Being able to lay in a hammock, in my own bungalow, on the Mekong river, for $2.55 a day. Ahhhhhh, Blisss. A handful of days doing that and I was once again ready to continue the journey. It’s funny to see, Some kids have ponys, others have water buffalo. Hopping on the next bus into the bordering Cambodia, the next adventure begins.

Phnom Penh was the destination, the capital city of Cambodia. It is truly amazing to think that the city was a ghost town only 30 years ago, due to the Khmer Rouge. The city, no the country, has been to hell and back. Between the Khmer Rouge regime and the Vietnam war. They have seen the worst of human nature.

After seeing the “killing fields” and “S21”, the prison, the somber feeling one has is really different than one can describe. Even after hearing the accounts and seeing pictures and the proof of what happened, you really can’t even believe it happened. So what does one do to make themselves feel better after such a sight? Shoot an AK-47 of course.

Off I went to the shooting range where you had your choice of everything from a pistol to a RPG. That’s right, you can shoot a rocket launcher if your willing to pay for it. Roomers have it that if the money is right, they will provide a cow for you to aim at. Though that of course is not pasted on their “menu”. I had a hard time choosing between the AK-47 and the Tommy gun. Those were the only two in my price range. RPG, would love to but at $350 USD a shot ionooooooo. Saw a bunch of other stuff but I won’t bore you with it. LOOK I’m holding a Big ass GUN!  This is what it would look like IF “Lukes could kill”!!
